Computer Graphics and Animation Grading Guidelines
  • Grading is accomplished on the total point system.
  • Students will have numerous and varied assessment opportunities. Many projects will be tied to an additional assessment for placing the file into the Completed Work folder (CW) on time. Students are responsible for double-checking the CW folder to see that their own work is correctly turned in (see more details in “Project Procedures.”
  • The assessment “Efficient Use of Class Time” will cover an entire marking period. Students are expected to use 100% of class time for computer graphics/animation related work. Not working during class or using class computers for personal email, games, checking sports scores, surfing the Internet, watching unrelated videos, etc will result in negative points in this assessment.
  • Class discussions will be worth a 2-point class participation assessment. It is possible to get more than 2 points on this assessment.
  • Homework is sparse, but when it is assigned, it will be assessed. Handing it in on time will be important.
  • Letter grades will be assigned according to the following criteria:
