File Naming Convention

Ms Calie's Class

A copy of all final project files will be placed in the “Completed Work” folder on the server for marking.

The file naming convention is:

 <Period Number>-<Folder Number>-<Project Number>-<First Name>Last Namel>

Example – For Jane Smith, in 4th period class, assigned folder 8, handing in a Photoshop file for Project# 3, her file name would look like this:

4-08-3-JaneSmith.psd

Some projects will include multiple parts.  In that case and as per your teacher’s instruction, a letter will follow the project#.

 4-08-3B-JaneSmith.psd

Make note what order the items are in, where the dashes are, where the leading zeros are and what letters are capitalized.  IT MATTERS!
