Activity Description: Create and arrange geometry
Instructions:

Use these tools and concepts to create and place the geometry according to the images found in the downloads folder on the Computer Graphics shared drive

Terrain Model
Activity Description:  Create a terrain for you UFO to traverse

Plan your terrain with camera views and angles in mind. Cameras will be positioned low to avoid seeing the edge of the plane. Distant hills and mountains along the plane edge will hide it from view.

  • 1. Create a plane
    • Set both Length and Width to 700
    • Set both Length Segs and Width Segs to 200

Consider multiple planes for water, mountains and hills

  • 2 - Convert plane to an Editable Poly (Right click selected plane/convert to Editable Poly)
    • Select/move vertices
      • Select region options
      • soft selection
    • Paint deformation
